Born in 1965: the Wood Snake
If you were born in 1965, your Chinese zodiac sign is the Snake 蛇, and the year's Heavenly Stem is Yi, which gives the year its element: Wood. So a full 1965 reading is a Wood Snake. People born in 1965 turn 61 years old in 2026 (or have already, depending on the birthday).
The one exception: January and February birthdays
The Chinese zodiac year does not start on January 1. In 1965, Lunar New Year fell on 1965-02-02. Anyone born in 1965 before that date belongs to the previous year's animal — use the homepage finder with an exact birth date and it handles the boundary for you.
Wood Snake personality, briefly
Intuitive, private and unhurried, the Snake thinks three moves ahead and says little until the moment counts. Snakes trust their own read of a room more than any advice, and they are usually right. The Wood stem is traditionally said to shade that character — Wood adds growth, patience and a builder's streak. One sentence is all a birth year can honestly carry; the rest is entertainment.
